We are delighted to let you know that on Tuesday 20th October, Year 2 will be visiting the SS Great Britain as part of our Autumn term topic, ‘Isambard Kingdom Brunel’.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the children’s learning about Brunel to life. During the day, the children will explore the historic ship and dockyard museum, with plenty to see, hear, touch and even smell! They will also take part in a workshop to learn more about Brunel as an engineer and enjoy a guided tour.

After our visit, the coach will make a special detour so that the children can see Clifton Suspension Bridge up close, with the opportunity to walk across it. We will return to school in time for the end of the school day.
