Term 6 - Remote Learning

Hi Bowie Class,

Here we are again - for one week only - Remote Learning! Just like before you will find your weekly timetable and the resources needed for each lesson below. I will be providing Live Learning throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday, but I don't expect you to join me online for every session (unless you want to)! However, please try to join me at 9 am for the register! All the lesson resources will be in the folders, so if you can't join the call you can return to the lesson at a time that suits you. Do not worry about sending me evidence of your learning this week, unless you are really proud of what you have produced or you would like some feedback :)

I will send the Zoom link out when I have remembered how to do it... Email me if you have any concerns:

Term 3 and Term 4 - Remote Learning

Hi Bowie Class,

During our school closure, a weekly timetable will be added to this page each Friday providing information about the following week. Please check this timetable daily, as it holds all the links and information you need to continue following our Year 4 curriculum from home. Some lessons are linked to online videos and others will require you to download a Powerpoint from our class page below. There are activities to go alongside each of these lessons for you to complete. It is up to you whether you edit these sheets online, print and fill them out or simply write your answers on a piece of paper and send me a photograph: there is no wrong way to do it. If you wish to send me all your completed work from every lesson of every day, I would be delighted to see it! However, the feedback lessons (where I will be emailing you back my response) are marked clearly on your timetable, so - where possible, and I fully appreciate this will not always be possible - please focus on returning these 'feedback lessons' to me as a minimum. My email is

You'll notice that we have two opportunities for Live Learning via Zoom a day. We have a daily lesson from 10am to 11am (except when I am teaching in school) and a question and answer session from 1.45pm to 2.15pm each afternoon. Please check the timetable to know which subject will be our lesson's focus. Duolingo and Timestable Rockstars log-ins have been emailed to your grown ups. There shouldn't be any other sites which require log-ins, if you encounter any issues please let me know.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Good luck!

Class Stories

These websites have got extra bits and bobs you might like to explore...
Check out the 'Who was' show on Netflix. Jack has been watching this on his lunchbreaks and says it is a hilarious way to learn more about History!

Daily Challenge

You are invited to submit photos to Bowie Class’ ‘Daily Challenge’. I hope these fun (absolutely non-compulsory) tasks will get us giggling and learning more about our classmates. I would like to post your photo entries to our class webpage as often as I can, so we can share in the smiles and stop ourselves from missing each other too much this term. I will only post photos for those people I currently have permission for, unless your grown-ups emails me to say otherwise.

Remote Learning Ter3

In the event that your child should need to isolate at home, please follow the Oak Academy Trust link below, which provides daily lessons that are year group specific. Please also see below for details on our topic for the term, alongside the relevant Knowledge Organiser, should you wish to do extra research/ a project linked to this at home. Weekly spellings can also be found here. As usual, regular reading and times table practice would be really beneficial.

If you have any concerns or would like to share the learning being done at home, please don't hesitate to contact me:
