Home Learning

During this exceptional time , the aim of our home learning strategy is to keep our school family closely connected to enable pupils to learn continuously whether at home or at school.

Children may have to learn from home for a variety of reasons:

  • They are awaiting the results of a Covid-19 test;
  • They are having to self-isolate due to a person they are living with having Covid-19 symptoms or having had a positive test;
  • Their year group bubble in school has been sent home due to a positive case of Covid-19 in the bubble; or
  • There is a local/regional/national lockdown.

Under each of the Class Pages is a subpage called Home Learning. Within this, there will be links to Oak Academy, which provides daily lessons that link to the content being delivered in school. There will also be information regarding class specific topics and other things being studied.

Work completed can be emailed to the class teacher via the address on the Class Page. It is expected that all children isolating who are well enough to do so will complete activities.

Parents/carers must communicate with school if they have issues with completing the work either by a message to the class teacher via email or by contacting the school office - 0117 3532261.

If some/all staff in a year group bubble are ill then home learning provision may be affected.

As always, online communications should be managed in a respectful and safe way, and we remind pupils and parents to stay safe online. Please refer to the Acceptable Use Charter under Online Safety on this website.
