      Year 5 had a brilliant afternoon with a Bristol university lecturer, Dr Ros Death. She specialises in geographical studies with a focus on ocean wildlife. We learnt lots of amazing facts about plankton and got to use some of her resources to measure water quality.

    • Year 5 Space Themed Homework

      Year 5 pupils have impressed us all with their amazing space-themed homework projects. Showcasing creativity, curiosity, and a real enthusiasm for learning, the children produced a fantastic range of work inspired by their topic.

      From detailed models to beautifully presented research, each project reflects the effort and imagination that Year 5 have put into their learning. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the way they have brought their understanding of space to life.

      Today we celebrated Red Nose Day at Brentry with a fantastic ‘Wear It Red’ day! 🔴

      It was wonderful to see so many children (and staff!) dressed in red and getting into the spirit, all while raising money for such an important cause.

      Year 4 have got off to a brilliant start in their Battery Operated Lights DT topic! 💡 They explored both series and parallel circuits and had the chance to practise building their own. A fantastic hands-on start with lots of great learning taking place!

      Year 1 enjoyed getting outdoors for their geography fieldwork today! 🌍🧭 They explored compass points and used their observation skills to draw what they could see when looking north, east, south and west. A great way to bring learning to life! ✏️

      Year 5 had a fantastic time at Forest School today. The children showed great perseverance while learning how to tie a bright knot to create their own natural picture frames.     • Year 1 Science – Minibeast Hunt

      Year 1 enjoyed exploring the outdoors this afternoon as part of their Science lesson, taking part in a minibeast hunt around the school grounds. The children carefully searched different habitats and were excited to discover a variety of bugs along the way.  More photos can be found on Facebook.

      It was a great opportunity for pupils to learn more about minibeasts and the environments they live in while developing their observation skills.

    • Brentry Summer Spectacular 2026

      We are excited to invite our school community to the Brentry Summer Spectacular on Friday 3rd July from 5–7pm.

      This promises to be a fun-filled evening for the whole family, with music, games, inflatables and great food to enjoy together. There will be entertainment from Party Peeps DJ, food vendors, and class stalls, creating a lively festival atmosphere on the school grounds.

      It’s a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and the wider community to come together and celebrate the summer while supporting the school.

    • Brentry School Book Fair

      We are delighted to be hosting our School Book Fair from Monday 9th to Friday 13th March in the School Hall, running every afternoon after school.

      The Book Fair is a fantastic opportunity for children to discover exciting new books and develop a love of reading. There will be a wide range of titles available for all ages and interests, making it the perfect chance for pupils to choose a book they are excited to read.

      Every purchase helps to support our school library, allowing us to add new books and resources for all children to enjoy.

      Please note that card payments only will be accepted.

      We look forward to seeing lots of families there and celebrating the joy of reading together!
