Here is where the work for our self isolation period is stored for home learning, alongside the accompanying resources. You will see that there are links to video clips and tutorials; power points to download and read through; worksheets to complete and activities to take part in. Some of the tasks are on Word documents; others are in PDF format, which can be edited if you open up in Adobe Reader, while for some tasks, you may prefer to record on paper and send me a photo... Do what is best for you.
I will continue as before, holding a daily live lesson on Zoom, though I will arrange this for 9:30 each day as there is now no longer any need to leave it until 11 to avoid clashes. Each live session will be clearly indicated on the timetable and I will respond to all work that is sent to me through my email: email@example.com. The "drop in" session has also changed and will be held at 1:30 each afternoon. This session will essentially be used for children to check in about the morning's lessons and ask for further explanation, questions or just some reassurance that they are on the right track.
A bit of a shock, so soon after the return to school, but as ever, I hope you are all well and staying safe.
The following link to Oak Academy Trust's website, which has been used for isolating pupils, remains a very useful resource and will be used regularly within the set timetable. There are plenty of additional ideas here, too, if your child requires any further tasks..
On-going Home Learning
Below you will find links to a range of websites where you can access games and activities to further support your child's learning.
In addition, the class knowledge organisers will be attached in the relevant section on our web page, outlining the key areas of learning for the geography topic on Modern Britain and the science topic on Forces. Do use these guidelines to support your own research on these topics - the planned order to study them has been recorded on the half-term curriculum planner, attached in the curriculum link on this web page.
We use Real PE in school to teach physical exercise. They have kindly set up a home learning portal for all parents to use at Brentry Primary. Have a look at their fantastic resources.
