Welcome to our Year 3 class page and to KS2!
This year, your child will be taught by Mrs Garland from Tuesday to Friday and Mr Lawrence on Mondays. Our class is also supported throughout the week by our brilliant teaching assistant, Ms Amos as well as Ms Tiernan supporting with SEN. We are also lucky enough to have a wonderful Reading Volunteer, Kate, who comes in each week on a Thursday.
Year 3 is all about settling into life in KS2 which brings new challenges but also new exciting opportunities! Year 3 will be an adjustment for all but one I am sure the children will take to confidently.
Throughout the year, we enjoy taking part in a range of curriculum weeks and whole-school events. Although your child’s timetable may vary from week to week, some elements remain constant—such as daily English and maths lessons each morning. Children also take part in regular sessions focused on reading, spelling, grammar, handwriting, and PSHE or Circle Time.
In the afternoons, we explore the wider curriculum. At Brentry, we take pride in offering a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires curiosity and supports every child in becoming a confident, enthusiastic learner.
Please visit our curriculum pages to find out more about what we cover in Year 3.
