    • Year 1 Science – Minibeast Hunt

      Year 1 enjoyed exploring the outdoors this afternoon as part of their Science lesson, taking part in a minibeast hunt around the school grounds. The children carefully searched different habitats and were excited to discover a variety of bugs along the way.  More photos can be found on Facebook.

      It was a great opportunity for pupils to learn more about minibeasts and the environments they live in while developing their observation skills.

    • Brentry Summer Spectacular 2026

      We are excited to invite our school community to the Brentry Summer Spectacular on Friday 3rd July from 5–7pm.

      This promises to be a fun-filled evening for the whole family, with music, games, inflatables and great food to enjoy together. There will be entertainment from Party Peeps DJ, food vendors, and class stalls, creating a lively festival atmosphere on the school grounds.

      It’s a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and the wider community to come together and celebrate the summer while supporting the school.

    • Brentry School Book Fair

      We are delighted to be hosting our School Book Fair from Monday 9th to Friday 13th March in the School Hall, running every afternoon after school.

      The Book Fair is a fantastic opportunity for children to discover exciting new books and develop a love of reading. There will be a wide range of titles available for all ages and interests, making it the perfect chance for pupils to choose a book they are excited to read.

      Every purchase helps to support our school library, allowing us to add new books and resources for all children to enjoy.

      Please note that card payments only will be accepted.

      We look forward to seeing lots of families there and celebrating the joy of reading together!

    • Year 1 DT – Animal Spoon Puppets

      After exploring a range of different puppets in yesterday’s lesson, Year 1 continued their Design and Technology learning this afternoon by creating their own animal spoon puppets. The children used a variety of materials and craft techniques to design and make their puppets, showing great creativity and imagination.  More photos can be found on Facebook.

    • English Week at Brentry Continues

      📚 English Week at Brentry Continues! 🐝

      The excitement of English Week carried on today with our brilliant Year 6 Spelling Bee, where pupils showed off their fantastic vocabulary, concentration and spelling skills in a lively competition.

      The buzz didn’t stop there! After watching the Year 6 event, classes held their own class spelling bees, giving pupils across the school the chance to test themselves and cheer on their classmates.  More photos can be found on Facebook.

    • World Book Day Celebrations

      What a fantastic start to our World Book Day celebrations! 📚

      Staff and pupils made a brilliant effort with their costumes, and it was wonderful to see so many creative characters around the school. During assembly we also announced our class costume winners – although with so many fantastic outfits it was incredibly difficult to choose!

    • Bedtime Stories

      Last night, lots of our pupils returned to school in their cosiest pyjamas for our Bedtime Stories event as part of our World Book Day celebrations. 📚✨

      Children enjoyed listening to stories with their teachers and sharing their love of books with friends. They also tucked into delicious hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows, along with a few biscuits – the perfect treat for a cosy evening of reading!

    • Year 5 Explore the Library

      Year 5 headed to our local library yesterday and made the most of everything on offer. From hunting down new series to revisiting favourite authors, the children showed real enthusiasm for reading.

      They were brilliant ambassadors for our school and impressed us with their mature behaviour and curiosity.
