If your child is due to have PE (KS1), please send them in normal school uniform.
We have been continuing to think about how animals have adapted to live in their habitats in science in Year 2. We had some really interesting discussions this afternoon such as why a polar bear would struggle to survive in a savannah and how a lion would need to adapt in order to live in a tundra.

Today Bowie class were introduced to the well-known, Italian artist ‘Michelangelo’. We learnt of how he painted many humans in his most famous piece on the ceiling of the Sistine chapel (in Vatican City). However, the one living thing Michelangelo did not paint was an animal!
Therefore this afternoon, year 4 painted their own animals (dogs) to add to the paintings on the Sistine chapel’s ceiling

Today our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a wonderful yoga session with Vickie-Marie. A chance to stretch, relax and find some calm in the school day – thank you for leading us!
Year 4 enjoyed their first session of djembe drumming yesterday. We learnt that the drums originated from the continent of Africa specifically in Guinea and learnt how to play both high and low notes. The children are already looking forward to their 2nd lesson next week!
Our Year 5 & 6 boys’ football team had their first matches on Monday. They played brilliantly – winning one game, drawing one and losing two. A fantastic effort for their very first time out – well done, team! ![]()

Brunel Class Transformation! ![]()

Our Year 2 children became true engineers-in-the-making today as they all dressed up as Isambard Kingdom Brunel! From top hats to waistcoats, they looked absolutely fantastic.
It was wonderful to see them bringing their class name to life and learning about Brunel in such a fun and memorable way. We think the great man himself would have been very impressed! ![]()
