School Closure Wednesday 5/5/22

Due to Polling Day this Wednesday, school will be closed to children so I have attached some ideas for home activities in the event you find yourself wanting something to do! All power points, worksheets and tasks listed relate to the areas we have been working on in class and will give you the opportunity to develop and consolidate the key points. Enjoy...and do feel free to send me photos or copies of your work:

Alternatively, you can work through some of the lesson ideas below, as part of the isolation home learning package. These involve further curriculum ideas to help review and consolidate the knowledge and skills covered in year 5 so far. More specific objectives can be found using the Y5 termly planner, found under our curriculum section on the class web page; many relevant lessons to support these objectives can be found on the Oak Academy web page, the Bitesize home learning site and, for maths, the White Rose website, which comes with video tutorials. All these links are listed below.

Where foundation subjects are resourced, I have tried to link the tasks as closely as possible to what I will be delivering in class. Don't forget, either, the duolingo website, to progress through the French language programme, the Times Table Rock Stars site and daily reading from your chosen book.

I hope you find these resources useful while your child is isolating and, of course, I wish all isolating children a very speedy recovery. If you have any questions about the work, expectations or other queries, please do not hesitate to contact me through my email address: jjones@brentryprimaryschool.org.uk
